Sportball for Kids comes to Mahogany

Looking for some fun activities for your three to seven year old children!  Don’t miss out on the chance to register for the summer Sportball program to be held weekly on Fridays from 5:00 to 7:45 pm at the West Beach in Mahogany in July and August.  Visit http://www.mahoganyhoa.com/events-programs/hoa-programs/ for details or contact sportball@mahoganyhoa.com.  Registration deadline is June 15th for members and June 22nd for member guests.

May is a Busy Month in Mahogany

There is a lot going on in Mahogany this month.

• You can now follow the HOA on Twitter by selecting the Twitter icon on the top left of the HOA website home page;
• The beach staff are returning May 9th with the lake boating program starting up on May 12th this year;
• The HOA fleet of pedal boats and kayaks has grown this year to include 4 Hobie stand up paddle boards for added entertainment (children 12 to 15 will have to be accompanied by an adult if they wish to try their hand at this upcoming new sport);
• The beach volleyball nets have been re-installed for your summer pleasure;
• The bird cannon is back and operating from 9 am to 7 pm daily for the spring while birds are migrating and nesting;
• Zumba registrations are well underway for the 2 month program to be held Monday evenings at the West Beach.  Registration deadline is May 22nd, 2012;
• The Volunteer Information Wine and Cheese Open House is May 25th from 7 to 8:30 pm and details are at http://www.mahoganyhoa.com/events-programs/upcoming-events/;
• A bowling evening has been arranged for May 26th from 7 to 9 pm.  Check out the programs page for details – http://www.mahoganyhoa.com/events-programs/hoa-programs/ – Registration deadline is May 21st, 2012;
• Sportball for Kids camp runs in July and August on Fridays at the West Beach and registrations will open shortly.  Watch for details on the programs page later next week or contact sportball@mahoganyhoa.com . Registration will take place at the Mahogany Information Centre, 6 Mahogany Terrace, Monday to Thursday from 2 to 8 pm ;
• Garage Sale Wars on May 12th from 9 am  to 3 pm is including Mahogany this year for the 13th Annual garage sale event organized by the Haydens in the southeast.  If interested go to www.garagesalewars.ca ;
• The Mahogany HOA Book Club is hosting their next meeting May 16th;
• Swimming Lessons registration information  for July or August classes will be posted on the HOA website next week;
• Your MDLCA community association is hosting a Munschapalooza evening of five beloved Robert Munsch stories by Centre Stage Theatre Company.  Contact info@mdlca.ca for details.
• Alberta Theatre Projects is offering a 15% discount to Mahogany residents only for Playing with Fire:  The Theo Fleury Story running in the Martha Cohen Theatre from May 1 – 19th, 2012  if you purchase online tickets at www.ATPlive.com and use the promotion code REDLINE when booking to activate this exclusive offer;
• Many residents are starting to plan their private party functions at the West Beach for the larger groups up to 40.  If you have such plans this year, contact lknight@mahoganyhoa.com as soon as possible as bookings are on a first request basis and the two picnic sites available fill up quickly this time of year.

Mahogany Volunteer Information Wine and Cheese Evening

Zumba Registration Deadline
