C-MCA Family Fun Run

Instructor: Mahogany Volunteer Committee
Min/Max: Varies – Please register at the Mahogany Beach Club to sign-up!

Everyone knows it is a good idea to be active and enjoy the outdoors! The C-MCA (Copperfield-Mahogany Community Association – Formerly MDLCA) Family Fun Run is an awesome opportunity to do exactly this. On May 27th at 9:30am come join us in the beauty of the Mahogany Wetlands. We will be providing fun activities (crafts, games, and more!) for the whole family and organizing a run that is accessible to runners of all ages and abilities.

This is a FREE event being put on by the Mahogany HOA Volunteer Committee in partnership with the Copperfield-Mahogany Community Association. Last year well over a hundred people met their neighbours, participated in the run and had A LOT of fun! All participants will need to register for the event and this can be done the day of or before at the Mahogany Beach Club. The event is open to all, but those under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

What do you need to bring?

We are having a dress up competition so come dressed up as your favourite super hero! Extra points if the whole family joins in. Prizes will be rewarded!

Please dress appropriate to the weather forecast for the day and make sure you are ready to run!

You can download the registration and waiver forms here. Please note that we require waivers for each child and adult. You can email the completed forms to admin@mahoganyhoa.com or drop them off at the Mahogany Main Beach Club.

Blue Water, Green Earth & Safety Day

Blue Water, Green Earth Day will be held June 3, 2017 at the West Beach from 9am to 4pm. This is an event in which scuba divers from Adventures in Scuba will volunteer their time to help clean our lake. The divers will retrieve debris from the lake, and volunteers on paddle boards and kayaks will haul to the shore where volunteers will place in a dumpster. The waste removed from the lake will be disposed of by our gracious community partners, Hopewell. Please come out and get involved and help us keep Mahogany a great place to live! There will be morning and afternoon shifts available. Volunteers must register in advance, and lunch will be provided. Volunteers from Mahogany’s Fishing Committee will also be providing an opportunity to learn about identification and proper handling of fish. In addition to the lake clean up we are promoting a community area clean up. These areas include the wetlands, parks, and boulevards in Mahogany. Community clean up kits will be available at the Beach Club starting May 27 and at the West Beach the morning of June 3.

For residents wishing to do some spring cleaning of their own home, the Copperfield-Mahogany Community Association (C-MCA) will be hosting a spring cleaning event on Sunday, May 28th. Located in Copperfield, at 6 Copperstone Way S.E. this event will run from 9am to 2pm. This site will accept yard waste, recyclables, electronics, and garbage.
