Zombie Run

Gather your friends and get ready to run and have fun!!! Come down to the Mahogany Beach Club on Saturday, October 28 from 7pm-9pm.

This year we take advantage of students always being on their phones. You will need to be organized, quick and quiet as you will need to sneak around and be careful not to make too much noise that you attract the zombies. At the end of the run, we tally the score and give out prizes. Prizes for top teams and top costume!

We will have teams of 10 students. Register as a team or individuals. We will create the teams and fill in gaps where needed. All you have to ensure is that your cellphones are charged, legs are stretched and your NINJA skills are on point.

To register an individual or a team online visit https://central.ivrnet.com/mahogany/searches?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=zombie+run.

Mahogany Youth Arts

Fostering growth in our community and building into the culture of visual arts, we begin a journey of exploring the creativity in Mahogany. The Mahogany Youth Volunteer Committee will first be working with high school students and together, presenting art pieces which we hope builds into the future of our arts culture in our community. This will be limited to high students for the time being, to build into our youth programming in Mahogany.

We hope to launch events to display and monetize our efforts and there will be a review of work that will be displayed. NOT ALL WORK WILL BE DISPLAYED. Sold artwork will benefit the community but more importantly our students.

We hope to launch a music component soon. Please visit our Facebook Group: Mahogany Arts if you are interested. Parents can contact Ramon Ico through the Facebook group for any questions they may have.
Our first meeting is Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm. Please have your high school student bring examples of work; pictures on phones, etc. Bring a sketch pad and pencil as well.

Discussion Group

We are a group for anyone interested in good discussion and polite debate. The meetings are informal and laid back with no pressure to speak up if you prefer to just listen. We meet bi-monthly, the last Sunday afternoon of every second month. Due to the increased popularity of the group, we will now be meeting at the Mahogany Beach Club. Give it a try and join the conversation!

Topics, along with some informational videos, and questions will be sent to the participants the week prior to discussion. Hope to see you there!
