Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

If you want to meet your neighbours, ensure programs are available in your community early in the development of Mahogany, have energy and enthusiasm for organizing events, want to make Mahogany the best place to live and have a few hours to spare each month or just occasionally, we want to hear from you. We need member volunteers to join our new Social Committee, Operations Committee and other committees the HOA may wish to establish into the future. Let us know your areas of interest and we will get you involved.

The Mahogany Homeowners Association is in the process of establishing volunteer Social and Operations Committees this spring. If you are interested in being involved, please contact HOA Property Manager Linda Knight at 403.453.1221 or info@mahoganyhoa.com.

6. Youth Programs Committee  Male Mentor

The HOA Youth Programs Committee is looking for a male Mentor to volunteer
his time, energy and enthusiasm with the youth of Mahogany.

Engaging youth in their community provides a sense of pride and connectedness that can be very empowering. It has proven to keep community crime down, as well as build skills in our youth such as:

  • clear communication;
  • problem solving;
  • how to effectively collaborate with others;
  • leadership skills; and
  • respect.

Another benefit from our youth having an active role in their community is strengthening the youth’s protective factors that always outweigh the risk factors that all children and youth have in their lives.

If you are interested in being a Youth Programs Committee Mentor and are willing to apply for a police information check, please contact Stacey McRae-Arbuthnott at youthprograms@mahoganyhoa.com.
